The Garching Augustiner is one of my favorite restaurants in and around Munich. The restaurant is a real asset for Garching and the north of Munich. The food is excellent and the premises are very nicely decorated. In addition, everything is very new and clean. Nevertheless, the flair and the feeling of a typical Bavarian inn is not lost. On the contrary - the service is really remarkable and the staff is always friendly. The people on site are always ready to give the guest a nice visit. The food is really good. I have eaten different dishes several times and have been very satisfied every time. Whether roast pork, cheese spaetzle, salad ... always a very good one! There is no mention of the beer from the wooden barrel! :) When the weather is good, the beer garden is of course a great place to have a good time! I am always happy to be there! I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Nice new everything, but there could be more for vegetarians. The cliché that everyone in Bavaria only eats roast pork & co is no longer relevant, especially in young Garching there are more vegetarians than you might think.

Delicious salad, prices okay, well worth a visit. There were 6 of us to eat in the beer garden. This one is very beautiful. Sufficient shade for hot days. The inn is also very nice. I found the dessert a bit too expensive, it could have been two dumplings. The currywurst was unfortunately a bratwurst. That shouldn't happen, but it still tasted like bratwurst. The waitresses were all very friendly. The toilet lid was unfortunately very stained and sticky.

Typical bavarian restaurant! We were very well treated by the staff. Food was good, including this delicious dessert (great option for sharing) ??? the beergarden seems to be awesome for spending some time while enjoying either a nice beer or a fresh riesling ? We can't wait to come back during the summer!!!

Super service, friendly atmosphere and even better beer

Stumbled across this place on the way to the airport. Beautiful architecture with it's vaulted brick ceiling and heavy woodwork. Architecture aside, it also had the best traditional bavarian food I have had to date. Friendly staff with quick service and good prices. We had the roasted pork knuckle with potato dumplings which was just incredible , easily enough for two people .On their recommendation we also had their pumpkin soup, which was amazing. It was a pity that I was driving, hence I could not sample their beer. Will be back again next year.

Went there with my uncle for my bday. I had schweinemedaillons with Spätzle for 16,50€. I‘m 22 yrs old and the portion was way too small to be satisfying so i asked if i could get some more. („Nachschlag“) That usually means that they understand it was way too less so they‘ll bring more with on extra charge they Even asked if i‘d like to Drink some more. I thought ist was because they wont charge on the extraportion thats Why i Said yes pls. I went there because it was my birthday and i’ve been hungry not because i wanted to eat something pay 16,50€ and still Go Home hungry. They brang more. Same Portion as First one(Very small). THEY said „small one“ and charged another 14,50€..... worst experience you could make. DONT GO THERE IF YOU ARE HUNGRY Unless you‘re perpared to pay 31€ for an average meal and still being barely satisfied. I got a picture of the invoice attached P.s german native speaking just wanted that everyone could understand

Great! My go-to place in Garching! Tip: Try their Kaiserschmarrn for dessert!! Whether for a casual beer, a light snack or (heavy) meal, a visit is recommended! A nice selection of traditional Bavarian specialties. On Fridays and in summer, the light beer (“helles”) is served from a wooden barrel. When the weather is nice, the beer garden (self service) is also open. Very friendly staff in traditional clothes and quick service.
